Baseball is America’s Pastime. And (in my humble opinion) it is the best team sport of all time. Tonight was a great night of baseball as Zach Stanley’s Longhorns wooped up on a couple of teams in a double header. At least they run ruled the first team and were beating the second team 5 to nothing when I was called home by the wife of my youth. Zach played some pristine shortstop and had 2 or 3 hits that I was blessed to see as I watched this great exhibition of baseball with Miss Meagan. AND, I was fortunate to get the opportunity to drive her very own version of EL GATO. Not quite the same as the original, but still a quick white car. Actually, Meagan doesn’t even want her car to be referred to as EL GATO. I think that’s b/c she knows her car cannot possibly live up to that type of awesome name.
So, it is now almost midnight and I’ve been up since 4am. I must needs go to bed.
VERSE of the DAY: Psalm 118:8-9 “It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man. 9 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes.”
If you happen to be as blessed as I was today and get to personally see the one and only EL GATO de BLANCO in the metal flesh, make sure to give ample time to enjoy all that is the essence of EL GATO. Don’t take it for granted, for one day in the near future, she will be gone with her driver to the land of the Cajuns.
