It is 1:13 in the a.m. on Saturday night/Sunday morning. We (the Harpers) returned home from an awesome night of hangin’ with the Morris family. Emily, Madi, Kylee & Mike put on a good show with the karoke machine and the hoola hoop. After the kids got into bed by 10:30pm it was time to do some work.
I also had a friend Youth Pastor visit with me IM-style for a good while. He really has some tough problems with some of his students and he was in the midst of trying to decide what to do. I just can’t thank the Lord enough for the wonderful students we have at Berean. Some of the surious problems other Youth Departments have had to deal with just have never been a part of Berean. God is so Good!!
Today sure was a good day. There was work to do, but a surprise call from some fellow EXTreMe V-ballers came at about 2pm or so. Even though it only lasted for a grand total of 30 minutes, it was Phenomenal. For those who don’t know, I’ve been suffering from a severe Fever…..AND the only prescription is more EXTreMe V-ball. The short little bit of v-ball today was just what the doctor ordered. L.Stanley and I played against J.Rise and a kid named Austin that I just met. Next week’s EXTreMe V-ball will def be Phenomenal, Amazing, Fantastic, Kickin’ and whatever else adjective you want to use.
Church is in just a few hours, so I gotsta go get a little bit of sleep.
VERSE of the DAY: Hebrews 11:24-26 “By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter; 25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; 26 Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.”………………..Moses set an example for us when he chose to be right with God rather than be rich, famous, and popular. His relationship with God was his first priority and everything else had to fit into that priority for his life.
I head to bed now with the realization that potentially EL GATO and LA CERA might not be on the BeReaN parking lot on Sunday. Although that is a dissappointment, I still know that their great superiority will be with me (and you) no matter where I am or where they are. b.l.r.
