Begin at 4:19am to get ready for a 6:15 tee-time at Waterview G.C. in Rowlett. It was an absolutely gorgeous summer day. By the way, the key to experiencing those kind of days here in North Texas is to get up before the sun is up. However, I played some pretty poor golf and shot an 85. Probably doesn’t sound all that bad to some, but I haven’t had a round out of the 70’s in about 2 or 3 months. Nevertheless, it was a blast to play with Pastor Mills, Brad Mills, and Daniel Stoval.
Afterwards there was a quick bite of lunch at T.Bueno and then in to the office by 1pm until time to head home at 4:30pm. Then I worked in the yard, in the house, and on the kids’ computer. Everything is now working just fine. AND, it sure was a hot day to work in the yard. Despite my best attempts to accomplish some work after the kids hit the hay, I could barely keep my eyes open.
After some IM’ing with some Berean peeps, I took myself to bed around 12:30am. While chatting online I did find out some disturbing news. L.Stanley will be officially leaving for college on AUGUST 12TH instead of the 19TH. That’s like a whole week earlier than first thought. Some of her peeps were none to happy about that– as could be expected. BUT, we know that it will all be fine and she’ll be just great as a Freshman in college.
TUESDAY, July 26, 2005:
Why am I posting so early for Tuesday, you might ask. B/C today has already been Phenomenal and I’m writing with anticipation of the rest of the day. I’ll update this post later with more details of the night and how it plays out. Staff Meeting was at 8am in the great Chick-fil-A restaurant, and it went superbly. I also received a bit of encouragement from out of the blue. God truly is good all the time, and All the time God is good! I have some office work to attend to and then I’m going out with my wife tonight. Yes, at 5pm the great M.Stanley will arrive at the Harper House to watch our kiddos as we go out for a crazy night on the town. Well, at least that’s what we’re calling it. Nothing is more Awesomely PHENOMENAL than spending time with Kym. She’s unusually unusual!!
VERSE of the DAY: Ephesians 4:29-32 “Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. 30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: 32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.”…………….Strive to practice kindness to all with whom you come in contact today. It will be a blessing to both you and them.
Don’t let one single, solitary day pass you by without proclaiming your undying love, devotion, and respect for EL GATO & LA CERA!!
